Donations
Our community building was built and is maintained thanks to:
The work of a committed group of local volunteers
The financial and other support given by a wide range of donors and local businesses.
We are very grateful for the many donations we have had and continue to receive from:
Those made locally in our collecting tins to our Supporters Club members and
The large number of individual donations.
Individual donors include: John & Joan Hummerstone
John and Joan formed part of the Denby Dale community for over 60 years and made countless long-lasting friendships along the way.
They were involved in many and varied village activities, ranging from early amateur dramatics in the Pie Hall to latterly supporting the Friends of the Denby Dale Church Field.
Both believed passionately in the value of libraries, and in the pleasure and learning to be gained from reading.
Their daughters, Amelia and Elspeth, who also called Denby Dale “home” for many years, are proud to honour their parents’ wishes by making a donation to Denby Dale library.
We are very grateful for the many donations we received during this, our construction phase, from those made locally in our collecting tins to the large number of individual donations from a wide range of organisations.
We would like to thank our key donors for their significant donations:
